Our U11's played away in Kilmihil to St. Pat's in the cup this evening. A really good cup tie this, Hibs started the better with Josh Pike going close after a great cross into the box from Shay Waller dropped to the feet of Pike but his effort was well saved by the Pat's keeper. Hibs kept up the pressure and were again denied a goal when Lee Maguire played in Tiernan Adelu but his shot was just of target with a low shot. Pat's weathered the storm and we're to get the opener when the Hibs midfield lost possession and were punished with a quick break and great strike from outside the box leave Conor Wall in goal for Hibs with no chance. 1-0 to the home side after 15 minutes. Hibs kept playing their game and controlled posseession with midfielder Lee Maguire dictating play and created chances with Kevin Hanley and Josh Pike going close. Hibs got the deserved equalizer through a Tiernan Adelu bit of Magic winning possession in the center of midfield and running straight through the Pat's mid field and showing some terrific feet and hitting a shot from just in side the Pat's box, his shot was blocked by a defender but fell again for him to shoot past the Pat's keeper leaving him with no chance. Hibs had a scare when their defense were caught in possession and the front man of Pat's chipping the ba over the Hibs keeper only the hit the cross bar .1-1 at half time.
Second half started as the first finished with Hibs putting on the pressure early on , Adam Daly putting in 3 good crosses from the right but Hibs unable to get on the end of any due the Pat's defence holding firm. Lee Maguire started to pull the strings in midfield played in Kevin Hanley Shane Maloney Tiernan Adelu and Aaron O'Donnell but The St Pat's defence who were strong all evening kept all Hibs efforts at bay. Hibs persistipaid off with just 3 minutes to go. again Maguire put the ball to the Pat's penalty area were a mix up in the Pat's defence led to the fox in the box Aaron O'Donnell stab the ball past the keeper to the joy of the Hibs players.
